Program

Since 1937 the evangelical missionary community of Guatemala has gathered to worship, fellowship, pray, play and enjoy time together. For many, especially those who are in smaller mission organizations or live in rural areas of the country, Intermissions provides a once a year opportunity to worship and hear God’s word taught in English. It provides the place to renew old friendships. It affords the space to spend time away from your ministry focus in order to hear God in a new and fresh way.

We are excited and privileged to have Dr. Steven G.W. Moore to be our speaker for the 2025 Intermissions Conference. Originally from Abilene, Texas, Steve and his wife, Thanne, live just outside of Portland, Oregon where he served as Executive Director of the M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust from 2007-2022. Prior to that, Steve served as:
Vice President – Asbury Theological Seminary
Vice President – Baylor University
Vice President – Seattle Pacific University
Director – Wesley Foundation, Texas Tech University

Please begin now praying for the 2025 conference, Steve, and the teams and counselors that will be coming to minister to us!

Counseling Services (Click for more information)

As missionaries we all deal with a high stress level on any given day. Some studies suggest that most missionaries live constantly over the dangerous stress level indicators. Another significant factor is we find ourselves with no one to talk to about these stressors. That is why it is so exciting to have professional Christian counselors with us each year at the conference.

Feedback

We work hard to make the conference experience the best it can be. The core of our efforts is to continue the original vision of bringing rest and recreational experience to our fellow missionaries and their families.

Your response to the following survey helps us reach that goal.
